Ruth Wilson
Ruth Wilson has won two Olivier Awards as well as the Golden Globe Award. She gave her Broadway premiere in Nick Payne's Constellations with Jake Gyllenhaal. The actress is most well-known for playing Alison Lockhart on the Showtime drama "The Affair," that earned her a Golden Globe Award. The Little Stranger is among the many films she's starred in. Some of her other credits comprise Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing who lives at the House (aka I Am the Pretty Thing) and Suite FranASSaise, Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger and Anna Karenina, Saving Mr. Banks, Saving Mr. Banks, Saving Mr. Banks, Saving Mr. Banks, Saving Mr. In the Donmar Warehouse, she received Olivier Awards as Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, as well as Best Supporting Actress in the film Anna Christie with Jude Law. In the film Hedda gabler the actress was named a Best Actress Olivier Award nominee. Wilson has been nominated for 8 Emmy Awards for her role in "Luther," a BBC drama which received acclaim from critics. In the BBC miniseries "Jane Eyre," she received nominations from both BAFTAs and Golden Globes as Best Lead actor. In 2007 she had her London debut with Maxim Gorky's Philistines with the National Theatre. She also starred in Ingmar Bergman's Through a Glass Darkly, adapted for the Almeida Theatre.
