Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. The infectious electronic music of Ellie Goulding rapidly pushed her into the top charts once she drew the attention of the general public in 2010. She was able to accomplish this through the singles "Starry Eyed", and "Guns and Horses". Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has a unique soprano scream and a knack to write songs that are emotional with uplifting lyrics. Much like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she's at the forefront in the world of mainstream and artistic independent music. Polydor Records signed her to one of their record labels and she began preparing for the launch of her debut album.
